with Khasijah Cooper , Pearl Rose , Pierre Douglas , James Stanley , Tommy Ryman , Ben Katzner and Maggie Faris

Khasijah Cooper

Khadijah grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis as an only child. Working as a Sexuality Educator with

teens, her confidence in public speaking coupled with her quick wit gave her all the fuel she needed to burst on to the comedy scene making her name known. In March 2019 Khadijah was in the top 5 for the Best comedian for the City Pages Best of the Twin Cities. Her point of view in her stand up as a mother, a Sexuality Educator, and someone that has the confidence and comfort in her skin makes her irresistible to laugh with and relate to.

Pearl Rose

Pearl Rose is a comedian recently returned to her hometown in Minnesota. She has performed at venues up and down the East Coast, such as Good Good Comedy Theater in Philadelphia and the DC Improv in Washington, DC. She has opened for nationally touring headliners including Joe List, Carmen Lynch and Jon Dore. Pearl has performed in several festivals such as the Underground Comedy Festival and the Kennedy Center’s District of Laughs Festival. She has been featured in The Washington Post’s The Lily.

Pierre Douglas

Pierre Douglas, better known as "Cool P Comedy", is a host and entertainer. He was born in Chicago IL, and raised in Minneapolis MN. After finding success and gaining a Twitter following as a humor personality, Douglas decided to purse a career in stand up comedy in 2012. Since then he has opened up for comedians such as Darnell Rawling, Ali Siddiq, and Michael Blackson.

In 2016 he co-founded a comedy club called Baddies Comedy Co. with fellow Twin Cities-based comedians Brandon Riddley & Bruce Leroy Williams. The club eventually received the opportunity to be the hosting venue for the taping of an Episode of Kevin Hart's Hart of the City series that premiered on Comedy Central. Douglas is also an actor who has held leading roles in the stage plays I'm Going To Chuuch, Mind Games, and Riot. He also played in the comic book-based action thriller, 3 Million Villains.

Tapping into his skills as a writer, he co-produced a stage production titled A Stereotype Removed. He's graced the stage of many comedy clubs, including Mall of America's House of Comedy, The Joke Joint, The Laugh Factory Chicago, The Laugh Factory Hollywood, Wiley's Comedy Club, Goonies Comedy club and many others.

James Stanley

Born and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota, James Stanley started his journey in stand up in 2013 at 16 years old. Within a few years James was hired as a house emcee at the Joke Joint Comedy Club and a couple years after that he was hired at the famous Acme Comedy Company where he is now a regular feature. James has opened for nationally touring headliners such as Sean Patton, Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay, Geoffrey Asmus, Nimesh Patel, Dean Edwards, and more. In 2021 James was featured in the yearly write up for ‘Comics to Watch’ and in 2022 James was featured in the Twin Cities Dispatch about his rising career in comedy. James is continuing to travel more and more of the country and go as far as he can as a stand-up comedian.

Tommy Ryman

Tommy Ryman, a semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, is an acclaimed comedian. His oddly-adorable stand-up landed him No. 2 on iTunes comedy charts for his album Having the Time of My Life. Named Best of the Midwest at Gilda’s Laugh Fest, Tommy grew up in Minnesota jamming on clarinet for his new-age mom and kale-chip-making dad. He performs at top clubs, colleges, and festivals across the nation including the Great American Comedy Festival. Tommy was invited to be on Nickelodeon’s NickMom Night Out and has a full comedy special on Dry Bar Comedy. He’s worked alongside Nick Swardson, Hannibal Buress, Maria Bamford and Louie Anderson but none wear a cardigan quite like Tommy. Featured on Paste Magazine and regularly heard on SirusXM and iheartradio, Tommy’s act can be described as absurdist and clever masked behind an endearing, innocent demeanor. A Last Comic Standing judge raved, “I have never seen anything like [Tommy] before in my whole life, [he is] one-of-a-kind, fantastic!”

Ben Katzner

Standup comedian and writer, Ben Katzner has performed across the country and opened for comedians such as Gary Gulman, Chad Daniels and Kyle Kinane. Ben has also participated in numerous comedy festivals including: the Limestone Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, Lets Fest Comedy Festival, the Comedy Exposition in Chicago, Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, the Harlem Comedy Festival and the Orlando Indie Comedy Festival. Katzner’s debut graphic novel, "Hello, My Name is Poop", was published by Wonderbound books in 2021. More of Katzner’s written work can be found in places like Insider, USA Today and Buzzfeed.

Bounce Back, A Comedy Review

Laugh Camp Comedy Club in St. Paul has always been a place for community, connection, and laughter. Recently, however, the owners were forced to make the difficult decision to cancel six sold out shows due to serious safety concerns for audiences, staff, and performers.

While this decision was made to protect everyone involved, it has come with an immediate financial cost. Canceling shows means lost revenue for the club and lost wages and tips for the hardworking staff who depend on these events to pay bills and support their families.

Join us for a night of comedy to raise some funds to compensate staff for lost hours and tips and help the club cover related losses.

This comedy review will feature some of the Twin Cities most loved comedians, including:

Khadijah Cooper

Pierre Douglas

Maggie Faris

Ben Katzner

Pearl Rose

Tommy Ryman
