She beat out Tig Notaro to win both the Funniest Clip of the Year and the Silver Nail award at the Aspen Comedy Festival. Curve magazine named Maggie Faris one of the Funniest Lesbians in America. She recently won The Advocate Magazine’s national search for the Next Funniest Queer Comedian. She was also voted “Best Comedian” by her Minnesota peers.

Julie Bane

Julie Bane is a great joke writer who gets you to the funny fast. Her Midwestern, girl next door likability will have you seeing the funny and ridiculousness in any situation, from cross-country road trips to getting accepted into a college she didn’t apply to. Julie’s charm and wit make her a favorite at clubs, colleges, casinos, fundraisers, business meetings, and private events. She’s performed at the Women in comedy Festival, Laugh Fest and the Green Gravel Festival. When she’s not telling jokes you can find her blogging at Participation Medal Wife dot com or hanging at the dog park.
